You told us
Feedback from the 2011 National Student Survey suggested that Computer Science students were concerned about their employment prospects on graduating.
What we did
We took our employability agenda to the next stage with the introduction of two major developments within the Department:
- The option of a sandwich year in industry on all our Undergraduate degrees.
- A choice of new Year 2 modules focusing on in-demand skills and topics, such as Memory Management and Software Development Tools.
Existing Year 1 students will be able to pursue the year in industry if they so wish.
Have your say
If you are a Computer Science student, what do you think of these new initiatives? Or if you are studying in a different department, would you like similar work experience opportunities?
