Candidates standing for posts in the Student Officer Elections will be taking part in a ‘Meet, Greet and Eat’ event to answer voters’ questions.
Liverpool Guild of Students (LGoS) hosts the annual event which gives voters the chance to meet the campaign teams for this year, explore manifestos and get to know the students who may be representing you in the Guild next year.
Current President of LGoS, Sam Butler, said: “The elections are one of the most important things we do as a Guild and it is vital that all students use their vote wisely for a candidate they think will represent them. This event will give all students the opportunity to get to know candidates and really understand who it is they will be voting for.”
The elected officers, trustees and delegates will play a pivotal role in changes made to the University in the next academic year.
The event will be held on Monday, 10 March at 6pm in the reception and Gilmour Room in the Reilly Building, University Square. It is open to anyone that has an interest in the upcoming elections, and food will be provided.
Registered University of Liverpool students will be eligible to cast their votes when the elections open on Monday, 17 March.
