Event: Pre-show talk at the Everyman

Everyman

Professor Nandini Das from the School of the Arts will be hosting a pre- show talk at the newly-opened Everyman theatre next week to discuss Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

The comedy, which is currently running at the theatre, is one of  William Shakespeare’s best known works, and Professor Das’ talk – entitled ‘I was adored once too’ – will examine the play’s significance and the role and nature of love.

The Everyman and the Department of English at the University have been collaborating since 2011 to help students understand the early modern stage and enhance appreciation for Shakespearian texts.

Martin Jenkins, who is one of the Everyman founders and an honorary degree holder at the University of Liverpool, regularly visits the Department of English to work with Shakespeare students.

The pre-show event is taking place on Tuesday, 25 March at 5pm. Tickets are £3 with a valid theatre ticket.

For Twelfth Night ticket information and to make a booking please visit the Everyman website.
