You told us:
You told us in student feedback that demand for University computers in PC Centres was high and it would be helpful to be able to print from individual laptops and mobile devices.
What we did:
The Computing Services Department (CSD) has launched Print Anywhere – a new service which enables students to send A4 document files to print from any laptop, tablet or mobile either via the internet or by email.
The aim was to provide more flexible access to printing, and to help reduce demand on campus computers which might otherwise have been tied up to complete simple printing jobs.
Using the web browser is just as simple. Students can navigate to printweb.liv.ac.uk and login using their University username and password. There are some simple steps to follow to upload the document to be printed.
Printouts can then be collected in the usual way by logging into a Ricoh printer with your student card. The document will be in the print queue ready to be released.
For further information, please visit the CSD website.
Have your say:
The Computing Services Department is always seeking feedback from students to improve the service offered across campus. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please contact the Helpdesk or follow on Twitter @liverpoolcsd.
If you’re a final year undergraduate, make sure you have your say by taking part in the National Student Survey. The survey is open until 30 April 2014 and is your opportunity to share your opinions on what you like about the University, as well as things that you feel could be improved – so don’t miss out! Students who are eligible to take part have been sent a message to their University email account with details about how to take part.
