Graduation Week 2014 is almost here and preparations are well underway to welcome thousands of graduates and their guests to campus.
The ceremonies will be taking place this year between Monday 14 July and Friday 18 July in the stunning Metropolitan Cathedral.
A marquee will be available in Abercromby Square for graduates and guests to relax in before and after ceremonies. Family members and friends unable to attend the Metropolitan Cathedral will also be able to watch the proceedings live on a screen in the marquee where refreshments will be on sale, including Pimms, Lanson Champagne and strawberries and cream.
Admission is free and opening times and further details are available from the Hospitality Graduation web page.
The new Liverpool Guild of Students building will also be open for gown collection and photographs, and graduates and their guests will be able to explore and enjoy the new space following its multi-million pound refurbishment.
Souvenir gifts are available to buy from the Guild tent at Abercromby Square as well as the Victoria Gallery & Museum, including University of Liverpool branded mugs, key rings, paper weights, frames and much more. A full list with prices for the VG&M shop can be found here.
The Alumni Relations Network is open to every University of Liverpool graduate giving access to more than 40 Alumni Associations worldwide, discounts on professional development and postgraduate courses, continued access to the library and free online journals, as well as invitations to University events and a monthly e-newsletter.
During Graduation Week, the team will be giving goodie bags to the first 50 graduates who visit the Alumni Relations stall in the Guild before each ceremony. There is also the chance to win a £100 Amazon voucher by taking part in the #LivUniSelfie competition on Twitter.
