Blogger of the Year finalists unveiled

My Liverpool Story

The finalists for the University of Liverpool’s Blogger of the Year have been unveiled giving students the chance to vote for the overall winner.

Students from across the University have been blogging for a year on the My Liverpool Story website which was launched in October 2013 to give prospective students a behind-the-scenes look at university life in Liverpool using videos, photographs and blogs.

Third year English student Laura Pearson has been joined by Mechanical Engineering graduate Adeayo Sotayo and fourth year Medicine student Yasmin Jolly as the three finalists in the competition.

Blogging on a variety of topics from budgeting and finance, to settling in, graduating, work experience, budgeting, essays, exams and exploring the city, all three finalists have already been named as one of the site’s ‘Blogger of the Month’ winning £50 each in Amazon vouchers.

The overall winner of ‘Blogger of the Year’ will win an iPad Mini.

Voting is now open on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Students can like or comment on the picture of the blogger they want to vote for on Facebook, or cast their vote on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #bloggeroftheyear followed by #nameofblogger.

Voting closes on Sunday, 28 September and the winner will be announced shortly afterwards.
