The Welcome Fairs open today (Thursday, 25 September) giving students the chance to find out how to get involved in all that University life offers.
The Fair, which will also be running tomorrow (Friday, 26 September) will take place from 10am until 4pm on both days in the recently opened Liverpool Guild of Students .
More than 120 societies will be exhibiting at the Fair alongside over 30 commercial stalls representing a host of local bars, clubs, restaurants and attractions including Dominos, who will be giving out free pizza, Spotify, Arriva and Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
The Fair will also play host to a number of charities and organisations as well as University departments with useful information about where students can go for help, advice and volunteering opportunities.
Merseyside Police will be available at the Fair and are encouraging students to register their mobile phones on the new ‘Love Your Phone, Log It’ database, which will improve your chance of getting your phone back if it is lost or stolen.
The database is checked nationally by all UK police forces to help reunite property to its rightful owners. When you register your phone (or other electrical goods) you will receive an email with your own personal account details, which you can use to report if your property is lost or stolen.
Click here to register your mobile phone and be in with a chance of winning an iPad.
The Welcome Fair is open to both new and returning students at the University and is a great place for people to find out more about what’s on offer and stock up on free giveaway items.
