Students are being encouraged to go to the Liverpool Careers Fair taking place next week (8 October).
The fair, which attracts some 2,000 students, is a major event in the graduate recruitment calendar and will be attended by more than 65 top employers, as well as organisations offering further study and training opportunities.
It is an opportunity for final year students to meet face-to-face with the UK’s leading graduate recruiters and find out about graduate vacancies for 2015.
First year and penultimate year students can also use the opportunity to discover placement and internship opportunities as well as researching potential graduate careers.
Richard Finch from the Careers and Employability Service at the University of Liverpool, said: “Our University has a strong reputation for employability among the UK’s leading graduate recruiters. Events like this are a great opportunity for our students to explore their options, and encouraging students to attend is key to continuing that success.”
More than 70 per cent of the vacancies advertised at the festival will be open to students from any degree discipline.
Students will also be able to speak to careers advisers or take part in a series of employer-led sessions, with tips on how to succeed in a job search. For international students there is a stand offering immigration and visa advice.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 8 October in St. George’s Hall in Liverpool city centre. For a full list of exhibitors and to register for fast-track entry visit www.liverpoolfairs.org.uk.
