Tree planting ceremony to commemorate WW1

Join staff and students at a tree planting ceremony to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1.

The event is free to attend and will take place at 11am on Tuesday 11 November at Liverpool Guild of Students on Mount Pleasant.  It will begin with a two minute silence at 11am, tree planting will start at 11.30am followed by a show and tell of World War One uniform and equipment from Captain Paul Knight.

Refreshments will be provided and student military groups will be collecting donations for the Poppy Appeal and holding a question and answer session.

There will also be an opportunity to dedicate a tree to a loved one in a remembrance book.
