The University is introducing a new £10,000 scholarship that will help remove barriers to postgraduate education for 125 students.
The scholarships – part of an initiative by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) – are aimed at groups currently under-represented in Higher Education.
The scholarships are worth £10,000 for students from the UK or EU who have studied an undergraduate degree from a UK university and paid the higher undergraduate tuition fees introduced in 2012. They are available for full or part-time taught Masters students in 2015 at the Liverpool or London campuses.
The University recognises that finance can be a barrier to postgraduate study, and this scholarship joins other awards such as the Postgraduate Progression Award for University of Liverpool students and alumni, the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship for high-achieving non-UK and EU students, and the Faculty Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship.
