Students will be able to find out more about the University’s new £10,000 postgraduate scholarships at our Postgraduate Open Day today.
The scholarships – part of an initiative by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) – are aimed at groups currently under-represented in Higher Education.
The scholarships are worth £10,000 for students from the UK or EU who have studied an undergraduate degree from a UK university and paid the higher undergraduate tuition fees introduced in 2012. They are available for full or part-time taught Masters students in 2015 at the Liverpool or London campuses.
The University recognises that finance can be a barrier to postgraduate study, and this scholarship joins other awards such as the Postgraduate Progression Award for University of Liverpool students and alumni, the Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship for high-achieving non-UK and EU students, and the Faculty Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship.
Postgraduate Open Day in Liverpool runs from 4pm to 6pm today. For further information please visit: https://www.liv.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/why/pg-open-day/.
Expressions of interest for the Postgraduate Support Scheme are currently being taken. For more information, visit: www.liverpool.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/finance/scholarships. The scholarships cannot be used in conjunction with other postgraduate bursaries. Students studying an MRes qualification are not eligible to apply.
