Varsity champions 2015

The University of Liverpool has won this year’s Sport Varsity after clocking up a final score of 83 points against Liverpool John Moores’ (LJMU) 52 points.

The city’s two principal universities went head to head in more than 30 different sports on Wednesday with the day predominantly taking place at Wyncote, the University of Liverpool’s outdoor sport facility.

The University of Liverpool’s Athletic Union President, Danny Harvey, said: “To have been involved in varsity for four years is in itself an honour, but to win having put so much effort into organising the event has left me ecstatic.”
