Postgraduate students have their say

Postgrad students

We are keen to make sure our postgraduate students have the best possible experience while studying with us. To do this we need to know what you think works well and what we could do better.

The University is taking part in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Experience Survey (PTES) and Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES).  These are the only national surveys to evaluate postgraduate students’ experience at university.

Your feedback is essential in helping to improve the experience of postgraduate students, both at the University and nationally.

All eligible students will have received  an email with a link to the relevant questionnaire.  Both surveys close on 14 May.  All information will remain confidential and the results of the survey will be made available to all departments in the autumn.

You can find out more about improvements which have been made based on previous years’ feedback by looking at ‘student feedback’ stories on Student News.

For further information about the survey, please contact the Student Opinion Team at

SOTA seems to have really improved. Research support grants have made a lot of things easier. But I wish there are some little cost we could just claim through the department other than putting in a whole grant application.
