The University’s Chamber Orchestra will perform a special concert in memory of former Erasmus student and orchestra member, Gabriella Cipriani, who died last year.
Gabriella took part in the Erasmus exchange at the University of Liverpool in the winter of 2013/14. She was a student of languages from Molfetta, Southern Italy; but most of all she was a passionate violinist. Tragically her life was cut short at just 22 years of age due to a traffic collision when she returned to Italy.
The ’Anteros’ Chamber Orchestra of students at the University, who are named in honour of a piece of music she wrote, wish to travel to Italy to perform a final farewell concert for her family.
Students are invited to attend the memorial concert in the Leggate Theatre of the Victoria Gallery and Museum on Saturday, 2 May between 7pm and 9pm. Doors will open at approximately 6:30pm.
Tickets will be available on the door for £10 and £5 for any concessions. All funds raised will go to support the orchestra’s final farewell concert for Gabriella’s family in Italy.
