Guild wins at NUS awards

The Liverpool Guild of Students has won an NUS award for their commitment to student engagement.

Student Officers and staff attended the awards ceremony at Bolton Wanderers Football Stadium, where they scooped the award in the Student Opportunities category in recognition of schemes such as the Guild Summit democracy system, and the Spend It scheme which awards funds to their 190 societies.

Deputy President of the Guild, James Coe said: “It’s been a fantastic night, and wonderful to be recognised for the innovative work the organisation has carried out to give students the best opportunities possible.”

The Guild’s Student Officers, which were nominated in the Best Officer Team category, walked away with a ‘Highly Commended’ accolade for their work on green, sustainable projects.
