University Challenge trials 2016

The search is on for student teams to compete in the 2016 series of University Challenge.

The popular BBC2 TV show features teams of students from universities across the UK who are tested on a range of subjects, including general knowledge.

This opportunity is open to all students including full-time and part-time undergraduates, postgraduates and overseas students studying in the UK.

The trial takes the form of an online quiz which covers a range of subjects including general knowledge. Once trials are over, the Guild will select the four highest scoring participants to form the University Challenge team, plus one reserve member.

The chosen team will then need to complete an additional test together and fill out application forms and may be invited to be interviewed by the BBC.

To take part in the trials, please register at one of the four sessions listed below:

Monday 9th November, Guild PC Room 2nd Floor, 10am

Wednesday 11th November, Guild PC Room 2nd Floor, 12pm

Friday 13th November, Woolfson Suite (1st Floor), Harold Cohen Library, 12pm
