International job board for academics, researchers and scientists, jobs.ac.uk, has compiled a series of video blogs (vlogs) to give students an insight into what it’s like to study a PhD.
The series features five PhD students from around the world who have documented information using video about their studies and experiences.
The PhD vloggers covered all kinds of topics, from applying for and starting a PhD, to preparing for viva and balancing life and studies. They also provided wide-ranging advice on many different aspects of PhDs, including the interview process, funding, moving abroad and finding your first academic job.
The PhD vlogging project has already been a big hit with viewers with the 25 videos receiving over 31,000 views directly on jobs.ac.uk and 5,000 views on the jobs.ac.uk YouTube channel.
For further information about the vlogging campaign and to watch the videos please visit the jobs.ac.uk website: http://www.jobs.ac.uk/careers-advice/resources/vlogs.
