Digital Transformations and Translating Cultures: An Update on AHRC Themes

The School of Histories, Languages and Cultures is holding an event for postgraduate students around the latest Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funding themes: Digital Transformations and Translating Cultures.

The AHRC’s themes, Digital Transformations and Translating Cultures provide a funding focus for emerging areas of interest to arts and humanities researchers.

The event will be led by two of the Theme Leadership Fellows, Professor Andrew Prescott (University of Glasgow) and Professor Charles Forsdick (University of Liverpool), who will give an overview of the portfolios of activity conducted in these two areas, and discuss future directions.

Professor Barry Godfrey (AHRC Theme Large Grant holder and member of AHRC Advisory Board) and Professor Claire Taylor (Chair of Digital Transformations Advisory Group) will also present the research projects they have led as part of the Digital Transformations theme.

There will be an opportunity to discuss current trends in Arts and Humanities research, and future funding opportunities in this area.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 24 February from 11am to 12:30pm in the School of the Arts Library, 1st Floor 19 Abercromby Square.
