The University has launched ‘Strategy 2026’ which sets out the institution’s vision and aspirations for the next 10 years.
The strategy is the outcome of 12 months of consultation and a thorough assessment and evaluation of our current position as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Janet Beer, said: “Anchored in our history and tradition, building on our existing distinctiveness and strengths, our strategy presents a fresh vision for the future – a reinterpretation of our civic mission for the modern University.
“Ours is a living strategy that will provide a complete and current picture of how we are fulfilling our mission, living our values and ethics and realising our vision for 2026, equipping the University not only to withstand the challenges of the future, but to thrive on the opportunities that they present.”
Work is now underway to develop implementation plans which will incorporate objectives, milestones and performance metrics for each part of the Strategy. Update reports will be made available through the governance structure and on the Strategy 2026 website, with final plans presented to Council in July for approval.
