The Guild are now accepting recommendations for the next set of Student Officers.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to become a Student Officer, or you know someone else who does, then let the Guild know by completing their SO Recommend 2017 form.

What is a Student Officer?

Student Officers are elected and work full-time with the Guild to help improve your University experience.

 

What skills does a Student Officer need to possess?

The Guild are looking for people who are:

  • approachable and engaging
  • keen to stay involved with the Guild
  • passionate about student issues
  • full of ideas to make things better for students
  • comfortable talking to students
  • are able to use their initiate and have a positive attitude

What would I do as a Student Officer?

If you were elected as a Student Officer, you would join a team of four and work full-time for the Guild for one year, starting from the summer of 2017.

The job is very varied. There will be University Committee meetings, campaigns, activities and face-to-face work. However, although varied, making things better for fellow University of Liverpool students will be at the heart of everything you do.

What would I earn as a Student Officer?

If you were elected as a Student Officer, you would earn around £19,000 per annum.
