Liverpool Network of Knowledge Exchange (LiNK) is to host a launch event engaging postgraduate research (PGR) students with the cultural and creative industries.
LiNK is in its fourth year and is designed specifically for PGR students across all Faculties to develop their research, professional and interpersonal skills as part of their doctoral training. The scheme was originally a School of the Arts programme, until recently becoming part of the Liverpool Doctoral College (LDC).
The scheme will connect postgraduates with partners in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) and provide opportunities for the University and its partner organisations to collaborate in the mentoring of new researchers as well as participate actively in the co-production of knowledge and sustainable impact.
The LiNK scheme will be launched on Wednesday, 25 January when information on the scheme will be provided. Placements are set to start in April where applicants will be awarded a bursary of up to £500 to cover expenses.
The launch event takes place from 12pm to 2pm at the School of the Arts Library, 19 Abercromby Square and will include a number of presentations about the scheme, as well as the opportunity to hear from students who took part in the programme last year. Lunch will be provided.
