Incident off-campus: Reminder to be vigilant

Students are being urged to be vigilant and take precautions with their safety following an incident near the University’s campus.

In the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, 15 February), a female student was robbed and assaulted on the junction of Caledonia Street and Sugnall Street, close to the Philharmonic. The student’s mobile phone was stolen. Our Campus Support Team and Merseyside Police are investigating the incident.

Although incidents of this kind are rare, the University would like to remind students to call the Campus Support Team immediately should you see any suspicious activity on campus. The team can be reached on 2222 from an internal phone or 0151 794 2222 from a mobile or external phone.
