Student safety reminder following incident

Three men have been arrested following a robbery in Liverpool city centre that involved a student.

The incident took place in the early hours of Friday, 17 January as the student was walking along Caledonia Street. Anyone with information about this incident is being asked to contact 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Christopher Sergeant, the University’s Police Liaison Officer, said: “Liverpool remains a safe place for students and incidents like these are quite rare. However, we want to remind students to be vigilant and to take safety precautions.”

The University would like to reassure students that the Campus Support Team are on campus 24-hours a day, seven days a week, undertaking a variety of measures to maintain a safe and secure environment.

However, if you do see any suspicious activity on campus, please contact the Campus Support Team immediately. The team can be reached on 2222 from an internal phone or 0151 794 2222 from a mobile or external phone.
