New home for Student Welfare and Careers services

Student Welfare and Guidance and Careers and Employability

Student Welfare and Guidance and the Careers and Employability Service have relocated to the Alsop Building on University Square (the building formerly used by Blackwells’ bookshop).

Each team will continue to offer the same services. Student Services will continue to provide:  Advice and Guidance, Disability Advice and Guidance, International Advice and Guidance, Money Advice and Guidance and the Mental Health Advisers. Similarly, the Careers and Employability Service will continue to provide: face-to-face appointments, practice interviews, general career advice, careers events, masterclasses and advice for international students. To find out more, please visit the Careers and Employability Service webpages.

Speaking about the move, Sue Haimes, Head of Student Welfare Advice and Guidance, said: “Relocating to Alsop Building is an exciting move. The building provides us with a welcoming space in the heart of the campus that we hope students and staff will find beneficial.”
