Incident in Manchester – 11am silence in University Square this morning

Victoria Gallery and Museum

The tragedy in Manchester will be marked by a minute’s silence across the UK at 11am today.

For those who can and wish to, you are invited to meet in University Square to observe the silence in remembrance of those who lost their lives and those who were injured in Manchester on Monday.

Students who will be in exams at 11am will be given the opportunity to observe the silence at their desks if they wish to – an additional minute will be added to all exams which take place over the 11am period this morning.

Our thoughts remain with all those affected by these terrible events.

If you have been involved or know anyone who has, you may want to make use of our Student Services.

Our Student Welfare Advice and Guidance Service can offer you free and confidential advice about a range of practical issues.  To contact the service you can email advice@liverpool.ac.uk or ring 0151 794 5863.
