Undergraduates raise thousands for two local charities

Claire House

Final year undergraduates raised an incredible £5,541 for Claire House and The Basement as part of this year’s National Student Survey.

Students raised the money by choosing to donate their £3 incentive to the charities. The money will be split between both local organisations.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, Professor Gavin Brown, said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey.  We value your feedback and use your responses to improve and inform the student experience at the University.

“In the past, we’ve introduced a range of new initiatives in response to feedback received through the survey, including lower printing costs, lecture-capture technology and our Library on Tour scheme.”

The National Student Survey has now closed and the University would like to thank everyone who took part for sharing their feedback with us.

The results of this year’s survey are expected to be published in August.
