Students, staff, alumni, friends and family, regardless of gender or sexuality are invited to join the University in this year’s Liverpool Pride Parade on Saturday, 29 July.
Marching from St George’s Hall through the streets of Liverpool, and ending back at St George’s Hall, this year the parade aims to show love and solidarity for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer + (LGBTQ+) communities worldwide and the wider community too.
This year’s theme is International Love, and organisers welcome everyone from the University to show their national spirit in costume, colour and decoration.
The meet up time is scheduled for 11.30am, with the march taking place from 12pm-1/1.30pm. The wider festival includes a headline performance by Atomic Kitten that evening.
The University would like everyone taking part to register. This will help to gauge numbers and those who register will be sent further joining instructions closer to the event.
