Producers of a major feature about J.R.R Tolkien – the author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy – have announced they are holding open casting calls for the new film in Liverpool.
If successful in your audition, you will be a paid extra in the production. Filming is set to take place in Liverpool and Manchester over the next few months and there will be various filming dates between October and December.
Supporting artists are being cast by Key Casting and auditions will take place in Liverpool on Monday, 16 October and Tuesday, 17 October 2017 at the Great George Community Cultural Project, The Black E, 1 Great George Street, L1 5EW. Students are invited to attend at either 10am or 2pm on either day.
You’ll need to take your passport and, if you’re not an EU citizen, your visa. If you do not have a passport, you will need to supply your birth certificate and your National Insurance documents. To fast-track your application, you can create a profile prior to casting via the Pop website.
The film, which is going to be directed by Dome Karukoski, will star Nicholas Hoult and Lily Collins. Looking at Tolkien’s early years, the feature is a biopic of the author’s early years and looks at Tolkien’s friendships, love interests and artistic inspiration.
