Arriva strike – students advised to plan ahead

Arriva Bus Strike

Arriva staff are planning to take industrial action tomorrow (Thursday), which will affect bus services used by many students.

There will be no services operating within Merseyside tomorrow and we appreciate this may cause significant disruption to your journey to the University.

If you have a pre-paid Arriva student ticket you will be able to use it on the Merseyrail network – for details of times please visit Merseyrail. Arriva tickets will also be accepted on Stagecoach Quality Network Routes – services 10A, 14, 53, 82, 86, 471 and 472.  For details of times and other bus services visit Merseytravel. For those considering cycling, University students receive a Citybike discount.

Please be aware there are two further 24 hour strikes planned for Monday, 23 and Monday, 30 October 2017.

For any specific questions regarding your local bus service please contact Arriva’s customer services team on 0344 800 44 11. Please check Arriva’s Twitter account for further updates: .
