Event: The Physics of Star Wars

Discover the physics behind light sabers, hyperspace and the force at The Physics of Star Wars event, which is set to take place Monday, 27 November at the University.

The event, which is a celebration of Star Wars’ 40th anniversary, will discuss what is science and what is fiction in the films. Our physics department will also link the Star Wars universe to their current research activities.

As well as a talk, there will be hands-on activities, refreshments and you will also have the chance to speak with researchers.
