Securing a graduate job: 3 resources you should know about

Kick Start Careers and Employability

With many deadlines for graduate positions fast approaching, our Careers and Employability team wanted to share three resources with you that could help you secure a graduate job.

Here are three resources you should be using now if you are a final year undergraduate:

  1. CareerHub– Our CareerHub vacancy list has hundreds of graduate opportunities with employers we know well. When you’re ready to apply we will be able to give you a few hints. Call in and speak with the Careers and Employability team for advice.
  2. Useful websites– There are lots of other online resources too. If you can’t find what you’re looking for try these websites as a helpful starting point: TargetjobsMilkroundProspectsGradcracker (STEM careers), Job CrowdReed Jobs (Graduate). Come in and see us for more advice.
  3. Graduate to Merseyside– We know that loads of our students stay local after graduation. We also know that most graduates find roles in smaller and medium sized companies. Get ahead of the competition by registering with Graduate to Merseyside – our unique service designed to open up this world of opportunity.

Talk to the Careers and Employability team

If you’re not sure what you want to do after graduation, or you need advice to get to where you want to be, go and see the Careers and Employability team. You can attend a drop-in session, no appointment necessary, between Monday and Friday. Or you can book an appointment online to speak to an adviser.

The Careers team will also be out and about on campus over the coming weeks.
