Four things to do during National Student Money Week

National Student Money Week

This week is National Student Money Week – an annual event that helps students get the most out of their money.

The theme of this year’s event is “Where You Live” and will focus on the costs associated with living in rented accommodation.

We’ve listed four things that you can get involved in during National Student Money Week.

  1. Visit our stall

As part of National Student Money Week, the University’s Money Advice and Guidance service will have a stall in the Sydney Jones Library on Tuesday, 13 February (2-4pm).

  1. Speak to one of our advisers

Throughout the year, the University’s Money Advice and Guidance service has a daily drop-in service (2-3.30pm) in the Alsop Building on University Square. You can use the service to speak with a trained adviser about anything relating to finances, budgeting or debt.

  1. Read house-hunting tips

Many of you will be looking for private rented houses or flats for the next academic year. You can read some top tips on house-hunting (and saving money) on the Money Advice and Guidance website.

  1. Enter our competition

Share your top money-saving tips for a chance to win a £50 Amazon voucher! Either drop by the stall in the Sydney Jones Library on Tuesday, 13 February, or tweet us your tips @LivUniSWAG with the hashtag #nsmw18.
