During the exam and assessment period, all students can use the University fitness suite, swimming pool, sports halls and squash courts for free.
The offer will run from Monday 21 May – Friday 1 June from 7am – 11am and 2pm – 4pm weekdays and all day during the weekend.
To take advantage of this offer you must sign up using this link and take your student card each time you use the facility. You will need to complete a health disclaimer the first time you use the facility which is available at the Sports Centre reception.
Any current student can use the facilities even if you’ve not used the University’s Sports Centre before. Staff will give you a warm welcome and provide you with all the information, advice and support you need to get started.
Speaking about the Sport Liverpool initiative Sport Development Officer, Ryan Swinney, said: “It is well known that a sensible amount of exercise can help boost concentration and reduce stress. Revision, exams and coursework deadlines can be tough so we are hoping to give our students the chance to de-stress and take a break from revision by opening our doors free of charge.”
To take part in a standard class you can just turn up at the time stated on the timetable. With regards to premium classes, we cannot guarantee places – they will be given on a first come first served basis. If you would like to take part in a premium class, you must ask reception if there are any spaces available. We can only grant you a space 1 hour before and up until the start time of the class.
